Intermediate Knitting

Dates: Sundays, November 9, 16 and 23
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This will be an Intermediate Knit class that will build on basic knitting skills, focusing on more advanced techniques and stitch patterns. Students should be comfortable with casting-on, knit and purl stitches, and binding off. Intermediate knitting techniques include; lace, cables, colour-work, intarsia, brioche, and knitting in the round. This exploration will be done making a number of swatches about 4” square to learn the techniques and stitch patterns.
Supplies needed: Knitting needles size 4mm (circular, double pointed or straight, which ever you are most comfortable using), Double Knit (DK) Yarn (50g in a light colour, wool not acrylic), several stitch markers, scissors, paper and pencil for taking notes.
