Join celebrated quilter Terry Rowland of T Row Studio for two special Alberta Culture Days events highlighting her 40-year creative journey in the fibre arts.
Friday, September 26 | 7:00 – 9:00 PM
Enjoy an inspiring evening as Terry shares over 50 of her original quilts, showcasing a wide variety of techniques, colours, and styles. Hear stories from her quilting career and gain insight into the evolution of her artistry.
Free Class - Registration is required to attend. 2025/2026 membership is required to register.
Saturday, September 27 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Take part in a full-day, hands-on quilting workshop where Terry will teach her innovative Paperless Paper Piecing technique. Participants will create one to three 10” Saskatoon Star blocks to take home. All materials are provided, and quilters of all experience levels are welcome.
Free Class - Registration is required to attend. 2025/2026 membership is required to register.
There is a kit supply list for this workshop. Some supplies will be available on-site, but quantities are limited. Registrants are asked to bring their own sewing machines in good working condition. If needed, arrangements can be made to use the SCAC sewing machine.
Space is limited — don’t miss this chance to learn from a master and take your creativity to the next level.

Art Show & Live Demonstrations

Browse an inspiring collection of original artwork by members, instructors, and students of the Sheep Creek Arts Council. Throughout the day, artists will be doing live demonstrations across various mediums — a great opportunity to witness the creative process in action and learn about upcoming classes.
Beading Workshop with Nadine Crowchild
1:00 – 3:00 PM
Free Class - Registration is required to attend. 2025/2026 membership is required to register.
Explore traditional and contemporary beading techniques in this beginner-friendly workshop led by Indigenous artist Nadine Crowchild. Participants will create their own unique beaded piece while learning about the cultural significance and storytelling behind this timeless art form.
No experience necessary — just bring your creativity and curiosity. Please bring scissors; all other materials provided
Children’s & Family Art Activities

Drop in for hands-on fun, designed for kids and caregivers to enjoy together. Activities include:

River Rock Painting with Artistic Adventures

Decorate a river rock using vibrant acrylic paint markers. Take it home or add it to our community rock garden. All materials provided, just bring your imagination!

Connections Nature Play Outdoor Adventure
10:00 am to 11:00 am
Activity for children ages 2 to 5. This is a parented (caregiver) program. Join a guided nature play experience through Millennium Park, where children can explore, imagine, and connect with the natural world in a safe and engaging way.

Northern Lights Watercolour Project

Create a beautiful painting using wax-resist and liquid watercolours to capture the magic of the Northern Lights.

Giant Colouring Wall with Crystal Salamon
12:00 – 4:00 PM
Add your colours to a large-scale collaborative mural, custom-designed by beloved local artist Crystal Salamon. Take home a special colouring sheet and crayon set as a keepsake.

Interactive Drumming Circle

Join us for an interactive, all-ages drumming circle celebrating Alberta Culture Days! This inclusive evening of rhythm, sound, and connection is open to everyone — no musical experience required.
The event features a special sound therapy performance by Trevor Uruski of Didgeridoo Sound Therapy (Calgary), whose deep, resonant tones create a rich and meditative backdrop for this community gathering.
We’re also pleased to welcome Jessica Wilson, a local spoken word artist known for her uplifting and spiritual poetry. Her live readings, woven into Trevor’s didgeridoo rhythms, will offer a powerful fusion of voice and vibration — creating a deeply connective and memorable experience.
Come drum, listen, and be moved — through music, words, and community.
