Supplies for watercolour:

Paper (140 lb or more) Fluid and Strathmore are reasonably priced for decent paper

brushes 2 rounds and 1 or 2 flats each- a round size 8 or bigger plus a slightly larger size and a flat that is approximately ¼ inch or larger across. A good round brush snaps to a nice point and holds lots of water. A good flat brush has longer bristles to hold more water. The best brushes are usually made of hair.

Painters tape

Paints- you can buy premade palettes or you can buy tubes of paint and pour your own. Good brands to purchase in tubes are Daniel Smith, Holbein, Schmincke, M. Graham and Winsor Newton. M.Graham is one of my favourites for a couple of reasons. If you are buying premade palettes, make sure they are professional quality watercolours
