Fibre Artist/ Quilter / Teacher / Quilt Judge / Pattern Designer
I am a fibre artist with a passion for learning new techniques and utilizing them in my art. Art quilts and landscape quilts have allowed me to use mixed media to design wall hangings, which reflect my joy of life.
My use of surface design techniques such as painting, dyeing, stamping, and resists allows me to create fabric that is unique for each piece of art. Embellishing with stitching, beading, foiling, or whatever else catches my fancy finish the pieces.
Traditional quilting will always play an important role in my quilting journey. Keeping abreast of new styles inspires my pattern designs but also allows me to have quilts on hand to give away when disaster strikes.
Whether taking a walk or making a quilt I’m always off on a tangent so my quilt making meanders in unexpected directions.
