Our Instructors

Janifer Calvez is a visual artist based in southern Alberta, where the beauty of the prairie, mountains, and wind shapes her acrylic and watercolour paintings. Inspired by time spent in nature, her travels, and the people around her, Janifer captures moments of light, colour, and whimsy in her expressive landscapes. A lifelong learner, she has studied with many accomplished artists through formal courses, mentorships, and shared studio experiences. Using sweeping brushstrokes and layered textures, she invites viewers to feel the vastness and spirit of Alberta’s open spaces.
